Stefan Radi is an Austrian photographer born 1951.
He started to take pictures at the age of eleven with an AGFA Billy-Record camera given to him by his grandfather. During his studies in Vienna he experimented for many years in his own darkroom - at that time mainly working with a Canon AE1 camera.
Stefan later turned to painting and while working in the USA and Switzerland he made an art-education in printmaking and nude drawing. Several exhibitions of paintings in Austria and the USA.
At the beginning of this century Stefan Radi turned again to photography and after extensively travelling in Asia and Africa developed his first portfolio of ethnic portraits. Four semester study of photography at the PFSOE followed.
Stefan Radi lives now in Austria. He is specialised in the genre of street, documentary and portrait photography.
